Today’s post comes as a direct response to the news that WordPress’s Daily Post is ending! 😥  It’s so sad and I’ve only just discovered this (yes I know,  I really should have scrolled down the Daily Post page to read that post sooner!).  I have no idea why the countless daily prompts and weekly photo challenges can’t continue with volunteer bloggers running it.  The Daily Post has been a wonderful source of inspiration for me, it helped drive my passion for poetry and I discovered a love of sharing my photography with you all through it’s weekly photo challenges.  I’ll still share both things with or without the prompts, but in case anyone reading knows:  If you know or have a blog which has prompts for poetry/writing and photography then please let me know.  I’d like to find more blogs like this especially ones where you can share your links and discover other’s work too.

On to the poem…

I’m Broken

You gave me hope, a feeling I belong,
Gave me strength, made me feel strong.
A place to go when I felt no desire,
Moments with you would always inspire.
But what do I do, now that we’ll be apart?
I guess I’ll have to find my own way to start.

Inspired by the daily prompt word: broken

What do you think of the poem?  Are you sad to see the Daily Post coming to an end?  Did you know of it’s end?  Have you ever used the Daily Post before?  Let me know any thoughts you have I’d love to hear from you 🙂
