It is very hot in the UK at the moment and for many today may well be the hottest day of the year (and even since records began).  For those of you affected, like me, stay cool, hydrated and in the shade.  I hope you all stay well and just to cheer up anyone who may be feeling a bit miserable from the overly oppressive heat, here’s a photo I took a few weeks ago in London (before the grass began to dry out) of a cool stream…or is it a brook?  I don’t know what it is, but the sound of the water trickling in an otherwise quiet location is wonderful.  😎😎😎

Silence by the water, a large river with civilization far away

Today I am bringing you a picture which I think sums up the word silence very well.  With what looks like civilisation so far away, there is a great silence near this water.  The only thing you hear is a breeze in your ears but it’s a beautiful silence otherwise and the perfect place to take a moment to yourself and breathe 🙂

Well I’m lazy today.  It IS my birthday but I took the day off and didn’t have anything prepared for my birthday blog post 😮  So I thought I’d post a quick image I took which to me fits this week’s photo challenge: Temporary.  To me berries and summer fruits are very temporary and as you can see from the photo these ones are already beginning to dry up.  I’m also aware that birthdays are temporary, as they come and go only once a year 🙂 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂 😀

I’ll be back online later but I’m taking the morning off, hope you are all well and thank you all for the birthday wishes I’ve already received 🙂 ❤ ❤ ❤

Do these berries speak ‘temporary’ to you?  What in your mind is temporary?  Please let me know your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you 🙂 You can also follow me in these places:

This is the first photo challenge I’ve ever done on wordpress so I hope everyone likes it.  The theme for this week’s challenge is pedestrian and I have my own little take on the pedestrian world – pigeons!  Love them or hate them (I personally love them) they are part of our towns and cities and help clean up the crumbs of food dropped on the street.  They’re also intelligent birds…well some of the time 😛 🙂

I actually love watching pigeons, I even visited Trafangar Square in London when I was younger.  Back them it was famous for the birds and stalls sold seed you could feed to them, I had several eating from my hands!!  They are smart and resilient birds which should be given some respect.  Pigeon chicks look very strange, by the way, different from most chicks which look a little cuter, and I think we’d all like them a little bit more if we saw more positive nature programs about them.  🙂

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope this image has brightened up your morning, and I hope you have a great week!

What to you think of my picture?  Does it speak ‘pedestrian’ to you?  What would you put for this week’s photo challenge?  Please let me know your thoughts I’d love to hear from you 🙂 You can also follow me in these places:
